A handmade bar sold in a shrink wrap loses the sale to a bar in a printed Box. Cardboard soap boxes are folding boxes in SBS, kraft, or E-flute stock, tuck-end, sleeve, or window-cut construction that holds oz bar snug, blocks light and dust, and carries your ingredient panel where buyers look for it.
Most orders come from handmade soap makers, cosmetics brands, and subscription box operators. Skip the box if you sell soap unwrapped at farmers’ markets. Everywhere else, the box earns its cost back at the shelf.
The board grade decides everything else. 18pt–24pt SBS holds a square edge under retail handling and takes offset ink without dot gain, so ingredient text stays legible at 6pt. Kraft at 350 GSM suits a natural-soap look and hides scuffs from repeated shelf contact. A die-cut window lets buyers see color and cure quality before they pick it up — which matters when the bar sells for $9.
Straight tuck-end: Flaps fold the same direction. Cheapest per unit, fastest to hand-pack.
Reverse tuck-end: Opposite-direction flaps, cleaner front face for print.
Sleeve carton: Open-ended wrap that slides over a bar. Least material, strong shelf look.
Window box: Circle or rectangle die-cut, optional PET film patch.
Standard runs 3.5″ × 2.5″ × 1″ for a 4 oz bar. Custom sizing works from your cured bar plus 2mm clearance.
Pantone PMS on offset runs; digital gets a proof first. Add printed interiors, kraft inserts, or foam pads for shipped orders.
Send bar dimensions, quantity, material (SBS or kraft), print needs, and your deadline.
We build a printed sample to spec. You approve it or request changes before production. Samples take 5–7 business days.
Production runs 10–15 business days after sign-off, shipped to your studio or 3PL. Flag rush orders upfront.
Orbix Packaging supplies handmade soap makers, cosmetics brands, and wholesale distributors who need cartons that survive shelf handling without denting or scuffing. Dielines get checked in-house, so window alignment and tuck fit are caught before plates go on press. MOQs start at 250 units for digital runs, low enough for a first product launch, and scale to volume pricing. Every order clears pre-press, post-print, and pre-shipment inspection.

Measure your cured bar, then add 2mm clearance on each dimension. A standard 4 oz bar fits 3.5" × 2.5" × 1". Send dimensions and we'll confirm.
Soap cartons use coated board that resists oil migration and moisture, sized to a single bar. Regular shipping boxes lack print quality, tuck closures, and retail dimensions.
Kraft for retail shelf cartons — thinner, prints well, costs less. E-flute corrugated for direct shipping, where the bar takes carrier impact without a secondary outer box.
Digital-printed cartons start at 250 units. Offset runs start at 500. Smaller sample quantities are available so you can test fit before committing.
Yes. We produce printed physical samples in 5–7 business days. You check board thickness, print color, and bar fit before approving full production.
Choose a moisture-resistant coating or poly-lined board, and cure bars fully before packing. Uncured soap releases moisture that softens uncoated cartons from the inside.
Yes. We print directly on SBS and kraft board using offset or digital, with Pantone matching. Send vector artwork with your quote request.
Uncoated kraft and SBS cartons go in curbside recycling. Gloss lamination and foil stamping limit recyclability — choose soy inks and uncoated stock if that matters.
Ship retail cartons inside a corrugated outer at 32 ECT minimum. The carton handles presentation; the outer absorbs drops and compression from carrier handling.
Recycled chipboard, unbleached kraft, and soy-based inks work on any run. FSC-certified stock is available on larger orders — note requirements when requesting a quote.
